Selling A Blog
It has been reported on just about every Blog I read today that The Blog Herald, one of the premier Blogs on the net, is being sold for $72,000+.
Although Duncan Riley is from Australia, the sale is apparently to an American company. Although the sale is not (as yet) final, the sale marks another transition into the Corporate World of yet another Blog.
I always felt that even though you can make money from Blogging, they were somehow exempt from the corruption associated with Big Corporations. I won't say that Duncan sold out, as he is continuing to work at B5media Blogs, but when you sell a blog you sell a part of yourself.
You can read an Interview by Darren Rowse over at ProBlogger to hear Duncan's reasoning for the sale. You can also read a post from Duncan on The Blog Herald explaining to his readers.
